I had been wanting to have an Off-Site Workshop for some time. I wanted to provide a venue which would enable our managers, leaders and people of influence an opportunity for personal growth. Stewart Pollard (Shift Leadership Solutions) came as a recommendation from a mutual connection.
Stewart and I exchanged a couple of emails and phone calls at which point he followed up with a tour of our facility in Miramichi. Stewart spent the better part of a morning talking to myself and Denise about Superior, our background(s) and what we were hoping to accomplish. We discussed format, potential topics of discussion among other things. I had given Stewart free rein as to content he wished to use. Stewart delivered in fine style and did not disappoint. He seemed to have tailored his material, presentation and questions in a way that intrigued and engaged all of us.
During morning break and lunch our team could not speak highly enough about Stewart, his content, his concepts and how it applied to each of them. Most people don't like "homework", but Stewart challenged us to commit and hold each other accountable moving forward.
I personally want to thank Stewart for working with Superior on this event. His passion for Leadership Development was very evident, His name and his material continue to come up with all team members that attended this event. Great job Stewart, I look forward to working together on future projects.
